Belia Deanda

Belia H. DeAnda of Uvalde passed away on September 10, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. She was born on February 10, 1925 in Musquiz Coahuila, Mexico to Emilio and Rosa Hernandez. She married Ben P. DeAnda in Brown Field, Texas on November 5, 1950. She is survived by three daughters; Rosie DeAnda, Nelda Ramirez and husband, Arturo; and Belinda Ramirez and husband, Hilario all of Uvalde, Texas; four sisters; Manuela Hernandez of Uvalde, Texas; Margarita Olvera of Corpus Christi, Texas; Trinidad Dunn of Tracy, California and Guadalupe Perry of Eagle Pass, Texas; grandchildren; Celia Ramirez, Sonia Ramirez, Amanda Moss, Kathy Ramirez, and Aaron Ramirez; great grandchildren; Benjamin Moreno, Alliyah and Alicia Shabazz, and Richard Ray Gonzales; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben DeAnda, three brothers; Rudolfo Hernandez, Juan Hernandez and Emilio Hernandez; one sister; Beatrice Gonzales. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
