Ms. Belia Torralva Verdusco of Uvalde passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 92. Ms. Verdusco was born on April 12, 1923 in Eagle Pass to Simon and Dolores (Castillo) Torralva. She is survived by three daughters, Sulema Bermea and husband Gilbert II, Linda Martinez and husband Jesse and Sandy V. Garcia and companion Joe Rubio all of Uvalde; four sons, Richard T. Diaz and wife Irene, Jose Alfredo Verdusco and wife Rose Mary, Arnold Verdusco and Albert Verdusco and wife Maria all of Uvalde; sister, Elva Perez of Uvalde; fifteen grandchildren, Cheryl B. Cantu, Jennifer B. Sierra, Kimberly M Rodriguez, Jason Aaron Martinez, Ronnie V. Diaz, Brian R. Diaz, Juan Garcia Jr., Joey Verdusco, Paul Michael Verdusco, Erica V. Muniz, Arnold Verdusco Jr., Velleza Verdusco, Roman Verdusco, Albert Verdusco Jr. and Josie Verdusco; eighteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Verdusco is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Victor E. Diaz and Alfredo Verdusco, two sisters, Dora T. Santos and Eva T. Martinez, three brothers, Andres Torralva, Antonio Torralva and Ruben Torralva.
A rosary will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Knippa with burial to follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Aaron Martinez, Juan Garcia Jr., Arnold Verdusco Jr., Joey Verdusco, Paul Michael Verdusco and Albert Verdusco Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all her grandchildren.
