Benita Romero

Benita P. Romero of Uvalde passed away on September 27, 2012 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 99. She was born on September 3, 1913 in Taft, Texas to Anastacio and Victoriana Garza Pena. She is survived by her daughter, Maria DeHoyos and husband Raul of Uvalde son, Sergio Romero and wife Alicia of Kerrville, 5 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino B. Romero and parents. A rosary will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery
