Bennie Gomez

Bennie M. Gomez of Uvalde passed away on March 21, 2017 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 96. She was born on March 21, 1921 in Uvalde to Nicholas C. and Maria Augustina (Reina) Morales. She married Santiago G. Gomez in Uvalde on December 24, 1953.
She is survived by her daughter, Ana Gomez of Uvalde; sisters in law, Eliza Morales of San Antonio, Alicia Morales of Houston and Frances Quiroba of Uvalde; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Charlie.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Angelina Romo and Mary Louise Wilson; brothers, Sixto Morales, Nicholas Morales, Jr. and Catarino Morales.
A rosary will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
