Bernabe Perez Hernandez

Bernabe Perez Hernandez, 68, of Uvalde peacefully departed this life on November 13, 2024, at his residence. 

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a funeral service commencing at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. 

Following the service, cremation will be carried out under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

He was born on June 10, 1956, in Uvalde, Texas to Antonia Torrez (Perez) and Marcello Guzman Hernandez. 

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Babbitt Hernandez of Uvalde; daughter, Crystal Babbitt of Killeen; son, Travis Hernandez of Grand Forks, North Dakota; two sisters, Paula Cmielewski of San Antonio and Santa Monica Baxa of Somerset;His mother, Antonia Torrez (Perez)   four brothers, Juan Hernandez of Uvalde, Joe Hernandez of Campwood, Marcello Hernandez of Somerset and Scoop Hernandez of Uvalde; seven grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his father; and son, Travis Babbitt.

Pallbearers will be Brandy Ragsdale, Ezabell Walker, Barb Elder, Mekaila Preece, Jacci Barksdale and Jaime Pugh.
