Bertha Flores

Bertha Alicia Flores of Uvalde passed away on October 29, 2017 in San Antonio at the age of 84. She was born on May 8, 1933 in Musquiz Coahuila, Mexico to Juan Luna and Maria Vielma Luna. She is survived by two sons, Carlos Flores of Uvalde and Eduardo Flores of San Antonio; daughter, Martha Alicia Avalos and husband, Sergio of Corpus Christi; sister, Lucy Lucio and husband, Antonio of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Jose Carlos Flores, Jr.; Cristina Martinez; and Andres Antonio Avalos; and six great-grandchildren, Cristina Asmay Flores; Jose Carlos Flores III; Joel Fraire; Isabella Martinez; Andres Antonio Avalos II; and Nathaniel Avalos. She was preceded by her parents and husband, Heliodoro R. Flores. Visitation will be from 1 PM - 9 PM Friday, Nov. 3rd and 8 AM - 9 PM Saturday, Nov. 4th. A prayer service will be held on both nights at 7 PM. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
