Bertha Blanche Jackson, 94, died in her sleep while at home in Uvalde Texas on January 13, 2014. She was born June 15, 1919 in San Francisco, CA and later moved to Uvalde, Texas. She met her husband Arthur Jackson in Wichita Falls, TX. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Arthur T. Jackson, her daughter Judy Snider, and her greatgrandson Andrew George Snider.

Bertha is survived by her sons David Jackson, who resides in California, Arthur Jackson, wife Lisa, who reside in Florida, and her soninlaw George Snider. Grandchildren: Sam Jackson, Chris Jackson wife Suzanne, Steve Jackson wife Gracie, Tishri Dobson, husband Patrick, Laura Snider Wiemelt, husband Ronald, Jeanette Hull husband David, George Snider III, wife Michele. Greatgrandchildren: Asaiah Wielmelt, Benjamin Wielmelt, Aaron Wielmelt, Crystal Wiemelt Green, Sarah Snider Wiemelt, Jon Hull, Sydney Doykin, Jossiah Dobson, Ezekiel Dobson, Christyn Jackson, Kelly Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Nathan Jackson. Greatgreatgrandchildren: Jay Green, Serinity Green, Dominic Andrew Snider, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bertha loved her Lord, and served him vigorously. She attended Uvalde Church of the Nazarene, where she rarely missed a service. She loved her family and prayed for them by name every day. Besides her family, her passion was missions. She loved everyone, whether they lived in Uvalde, Zimbabwe, India or anywhere else in the world. She need not know you to love you When Bertha came to church, she wore the most beautiful and contagious smile anyone has ever owned. She gave tirelessly of herself to her Lord, her family, and to her church family. Bertha will be greatly missed by all.

There will be a memorial service celebrating the life of Bertha Jackson at Uvalde Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, January 18th at 12:00 noon. The church address is 311 E. Sabinal Street, Uvalde, TX 78801. It is located right across the street from the Honey Bowl Stadium. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend Berthas Welcome Home Celebration.
