Beverly Walton

Beverly June (Pasela) Walton, age 86, of Utopia died in Kerrville on January 18, 2015. She was born to Stanley and Muriel (Prather) Pasela in Los Angeles, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stanley Pasela, and two of her three sons, Steven Gary Walton, 1955-1972, and Jeffery Kent Walton, 1958-1970, losses which stayed with her the rest of her life.
In the early 1950s Beverly worked for the Los Angles Police Department, where she met Larry Walton, whom she married on March 16, 1952, a marriage that lasted until her death. They recently spoke of their marriage as "a sixty-three year love affair". They moved to Utopia in 1969 and some years later started a real estate business where for thirty years Beverly sold real estate in and around the Sabinal Canyon. She also served as a member of the Utopia EMS, clerked for her husband who for many years was a Uvalde County Justice of the Peace, and also was the Chief Financial Officer for the Utopia Memorial Library until her death.
Beverly is survived by her husband Larry Roy Walton of Utopia, her remaining son Gregory Scott Walton and her daughter-in-law Chris Gorman Walton of Kerrville, two grandsons, Benjamin Scott Walton and Brian Christopher Walton and her sister, Shirley Longo and her brother-in-law Frank Longo of Waterford, CN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Utopia Memorial Library.
