Billy Green

Billy Ray Green of Schertz, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on September 12, 2015 in a San Antonio hospital at the age of 82. He was born on February 24, 1933 in Hartsville, TN to Floyd Nelson Green and Ollie Bell Cothron Green. He married Shirley Ann Burns in Gallatin, TN on October 15, 1954. She preceded him in death in 2005. He is survived by two daughters, Debora Glynn and husband, Donald of Cibolo, TX and Pam Green and partner, Francie Brown of Rockwall, TX; sister, Norene Byrd of Hartsville, TN; four grandchildren, Stacey Glynn, Jennifer Hummel, Brandon Glynn, and Cody Glynn; and eleven great-grandchildren, Sara Glynn-Green, Tessa Glynn, Hayley Gibbons, Jason Warren, Kayla Gibbons, Jessica Gibbons, Lori Glynn, Tiffany Gibbons, Logan Glynn, Jacob Glynn, and Ethan Glynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, James Green, and five sisters, Clara Langford, Mattie Nelson, Pauline Woodard, Aline Coker, and Faye Woodard. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Moore will officiate.
