Billy Jeffery

Billy Gerald Jeffery of Uvalde passed away on May 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born on January 7, 1931 in San Benito, Texas to Phillip Ernest and Jessie Mildred Head Jeffery. He married Betty June Veach on April 7, 1956 in Clovis, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Betty June Jeffery of Uvalde, TX. daughter Melinda Carol Jeffery of Hondo, TX. son Robert Paul Jeffery and wife Tara of Uvalde, TX. five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a farmer for his entire life in the Lubbock and Uvalde areas. He retired in 1996 as a crop appraiser. Family visitation will be held from 79 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at RushingEstesKnowles. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery in Uvalde, TX. In lieu of flower memorial be made to Uvalde Hospice.
