Dan "Billy" W. Rose of Brackettville passed away on March 6, 2017 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 66. He was born on February 19, 1951 in Alvin, TX to Anthony "Tony" Rose and Anne (Cico) Rose. He grew up in Brackettville and attended Sul Ross University, as well as Texas A&M University at Galveston. He graduated with a degree in accounting. Billy worked the majority of his career as a construction foreman building roads in all parts of the state of Texas. He loved his family and took pride in being a good friend to his coworkers and neighbors. He is survived by two sisters, Sis Hawkins of Uvalde and Bo Hagler and husband, Rick of Brackettville; two brothers, Tony Rose and wife, Cheryl of Texas City and Joe Rose and wife, Angela of Montgomery; and eleven nieces and nephews, Katy Maulsby, Steven Hagler, Jay Hawkins, Katy Monson, Will Hawkins, Michael Rose, Jamie Hawkins Kirkham, and Chelsea, Chloe, Bailey, and Levi Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
