Bobby Ives, Sr.

Bobby Joe Ives, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on March 11, 2012 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 70. He was born on August 1, 1941 in Barksdale to William and Nomie Creech Ives. He is survived by his daughter, Terresa Jacobs and husband, Michael and son, Bobby Ives, Jr. all of Uvalde brother, Sammy Ives and wife, Evelyn of Camp Wood two grandchildren, Avril Jacobs and husband, Frank Rodriguez and Jason Jacobs one greatgranddaughter, Natalie Rodriguez and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Avril Ives. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Baptist Temple with burial to follow in Barksdale Cemetery. Rev. Tony Gruben will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Renfro, Frank Rodriguez, Mike Jones, Jeff Parker, Robert Jacobs, and Dean Atkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Colwell, Harlan Hobbs, Frank Scheel, Ronnie Dalton, Frank Hidalgo, Johnny Kincaid, Jim Turner, Joel Goode, George Verndon, and James Parker.
