Bobby Wayne Taylor of Fort Clark Springs, Brackettville TX, formerly of Abilene for the past 31 years, passed away on March 17, 2018 in Uvalde at the age of 81 after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 29, 1936 in Jayton, TX to Charlie Zachary Taylor and Florence Baker Taylor. He graduated from high school in Stamford, TX. He married Rose Evelyn Fudge in Avoca, TX on July 10, 1956. He served in the Texas National Guard from 1954-1960. He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1967. Mr. Taylor was in retail management for over 20 years with Perry Brothers, and Gibson discount stores in West Texas. He was a buyer for West Texas Wholesale in Abilene, TX and owned a manufacturers representative company for the past 14 years. He loved fishing, hunting, golf, travel, and family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rose E. Taylor of Ft. Clark Springs, Brackettville, TX; daughters, Terri Sharp and husband, Randy of Abilene, TX; Tammy Balch and husband, Bill Balch, M.D. of Denison, TX; Tonia Lovelady and husband, Emmett of Abilene, TX; and Trina Lee and husband, Don of Ft. Clark Springs, Brackettville, TX; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Taylor and wife, Ester; mother, Florence Campbell and husband, E.W. (Red); grandson, Taylor Wayne Rose; and infant brother, Larry Dale Taylor. Memorial donations may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX 75219. Services are under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, Uvalde, TX. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
