Bobbye Kuykendall

Bobbye Kuykendall of Uvalde passed away on October 9, 2012 at her residence at the age of 92. She was born on November 7, 1919 in Del Rio to Cully James and Georgia Emma Turner Brotherton. She grew up on ranches in Valverde County. She married T.W. Ted Kuykendall in Brackettville on September 17, 1935. He preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by two sons, James H. Kuykendall and wife, Malena of Laredo and Travis B. Kuykendall of El Paso four grandsons, Bill, Jim, Travis, and Matthew two granddaughters, Diana and Vanessa three stepgrandchildren, Maritza, Melissa, and Albert 14 greatgrandchildren many nieces and nephews and hundreds of dear friends. Bobbye had been a resident of Uvalde since 1980. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:30 AM at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel followed by burying of her ashes at the side of her husband at the Sparks Family Cemetery in Cline, TX. Mr. Paul Stephens will officiate. All of Bobbye and Teds friends are invited to say a last farewell. Cremation was under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
