Braulio Hernandez Jr.

Braulio S. Hernandez Jr. of Uvalde passed away on October 12, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. He was born on November 20, 1918 in Junction, Texas to Braulio Sr. and Juanita Hernandez. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Anita Hernandez of Uvalde, Texas; seven grandchildren; Enrique G. Ruiz Jr.; Gricelda Salinas; Yvette Alejandro; Homer Hernandez; Emeline Moreno; Elaine Martinez and Esther Perez; fourteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Eluterio Hernandez; two daughters; Olga Hernandez and Elma Ruiz; five sisters; Maria Hernandez, Angelita Coy, Teresa Barrios, Francisca Hernandez, Herminia Hernandez; three brothers; Cruz Hernandez, Juan Hernandez and Jose Hernandez.A rosary will be held on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Father Antonio Hernandez will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Bill Mitchell, Cruz Hernandez Jr., Johnny Hernandez, Homero Hernandez, Ricardo Perez and Nick Carnivale.
