Brian Arthur Griffin of San Angelo, formerly of Uvalde, died on February 3, 2017 in San Angelo at the age of 43. He was born on Februry 19, 1973 in Uvalde to Gary and Janice (Locke) Griffin. He graduated from Uvalde High School in 1991. He attended San Angelo State University and was employed with HEB as Central Checkout Manager at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents; brothers, Gary Mac Griffin and wife, Jennifer of Uvalde and Greg Griffin and wife, J.K. of Sugar Land, TX; nieces, Bella and Joslynn Griffin of Uvalde, and Bailey and Peyton Griffin of Sugarland; uncles and aunts, Charles Griffin and wife, Kay of Uvalde and Jimmy Locke and wife, Denise of Boerne; and cousins, Kari McHone, Darcy Hobby, and Stephanie Locke, all of Boerne and Amy Ellis of Austin. Brian is also survived by his HEB mentor, Lynn Shipley, and a host of co-workers and friends that he lovingly referred to as extended family. A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at the columbarium on the church grounds. Rev. Mike Marsh will officiate. A reception in Grace Hall will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Philip's Episcopal Church or School; American Cancer Society; or the charity of one's choice.
