Carl Seyffert, Jr.

Carl Paul Seyffert, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on July 26,2015 at his residence at the age of 83. He was born on August 2, 1931 in Houston to Carl Paul Seyffert and Clara Mathilda Hofius Seyffert. He married Laura Jean Knippa on January 26, 1952 in San Diego, CA. He is survived by his wife of 63 years; three daughters, Karen Jean Garcia and husband, Tommy of Alvin, TX; Janice Mathis and husband, Keith of Richmond, TX; and Laura Kathleen Smith and husband, Ron of Alvin, TX; and son, Robert Louis Seyffert and wife, Debbie of Alvin, TX; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Art and Amanda Juarez of Uvalde. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willie and Walter Seyffert. Carl retired in 1993 and he and Laura moved to Uvalde at that time. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Camp Wood.
