Carmen Huizar

Carmen G. Huizar of Uvalde passed away on February 20, 2014 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. She was born on September 25, 1931 in Galveston, Texas to Matias and Maria Malacara Garcia. She is survived by her daughters, Norma Atkinson of Dallas, and Oralia Trevino of Crystal City sons, Miguel Rodriguez of Virginia, Ruben Rodriguez of Amarillo, Jesus Rodriguez of San Antonio, and Rudy Rodriguez of Washington sisters, Maria Garcia of Washington and Gloria Zertuche of Eagle Pass brother, Narciso Garcia of Idaho numerous grandchildren great grandchildren great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Catarino Huizar. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Miguel Rodriguez, Raksmiy Ron, Matthew Miller, Carlos Ortega, Oscar Trevino, and Robert Ibarra
