Carolina Gomez

Carolina C. Gomez of Uvalde passed away on October 14, 2012 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. She was born on May 25, 1924 in Uvalde to Severiano and Francisca Olivarez Castillo. She is survived by her daughter, Oralia Rodriguez and husband Eliseo of Uvalde sons, Raul Gomez and wife Yolanda of Castroville, Jose Gomez and wife Linda, Arturo Gomez and wife Maria both of Uvalde sisters, Eva Pena, Mary Pena both of Nevada, Rita Pena of Maryland brothers, Matilde Castillo of Temple, Benito Castillo of New Mexico, Fidel Pena of Arkansas, David Pena of California and Albert Pena of Oregon 26 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 1 greatgreat grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Ignacio Gomez son, Juan Gomez sisters, Luisa Estrada, Enriqueta Diaz brothers, Jesus Castillo, Agapito Castillo and Jose Maria Castillo. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 7:00 at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Templo Cristiano. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Saiz, Joe Gomez Jr., Jason Gomez, Arturo Gomez Jr., Gabriel Gomez, Juan Ignacio Gomez, Albert Rodriguez and Ramiro Rodriguez.
