Charles (Chuck) I. Lemon, age 93 of Uvalde, N, passed away on July 15, 2024 in

Uvalde. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Lloyd and Carrie Lemon on November 15, 1930. He was married to Jacqueline Smith on January', 1949 in Denver, CO, and they were married for 50 years until her death in December, 1999. On July 16, 2001 he married Cleo Chaney Lemon in Uvalde,

He attended schools in Englewood and Denver, Colorado. He began working for the Bell Telephone Company in 1951, and retired with SBC at Uvalde, in 1995 with 44 years of service. He was a member of the US Army reserves, and a member of the Civil Air Patrol for 27 years. He was active in and a past Commander of the American Legion of Uvalde, Post 26.He was very active in several Masonic organizations which include:

Masonic Blue Lodge since 1951, a dual member of the Grand Lodge of Colorado and the Grand Lodge of Texas serving as Worshipful Master of Uvalde Lodge #472 in 1982, and dual member of Tranquility Lodge #2000. He was also a member of the Consistory since 1957, and Shrine since 1979. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star since 1952 serving as Worthy Patron both in Colorado and Texas for a total of seven times. He also served in the Job Daughter's and Rainbow Girl organizations. He was an active member of the Uvalde Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for 17 years, and was a member of the Uvalde Chamber of Commerce Road Runners.

Charles was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church since 1930. He was a founding member of the St Philips and St James Episcopal Church in Denver, CO. He setved as a member of the Bishop's committee, Bishop's Warden, member of the first Vestry, and has been a Lay Reader since 1955, a Chalice Bearer since 1957, Junior Warden, and

Eucharistic Minister from 1998 until 2016 at the St. Philips Episcopal church in Uvalde,

He also frequently attended the Uvalde Methodist Church with his wife Cleo Lemon.

Charles is preceded in death by: his parents, Lloyd and Carrie Lemon; his wife, Jacqueline Smith Lemon; his sister Barbara Lemon Reidell; his daughter, Nora Lemon Bransom; his grandchildren, Erin Lemon Krueger, and Eric Lemon.

Charles is survived by: his wife, Cleo Norton Lemon, Uvalde, N', his daughter, Molly

Lemon Divine (Gary Baker) of Lake Oswego, OR; son, Philip Lemon (Mary), of Prescott

Valley, AZ. Grandchildren: Heather Kristensen (Matthew), Santa Rosa, CA; Grant Ogden, Denver, CO; Jesse Thomas (Cecilia), Arlington, TX; Corey Thomas, Arlington, TX. He is suNived by 10 Great grandchildren.

He is also survived by: Diann Chaney Strout, Utopia, TX; Bette Chaney Tucker (LeeVan) of Lago Vista, Dale Chaney, Greeley, CO, Step brother James Leckenby, Parker, CO.
