Charles William "Chuck" Wendlandt of Concan passed away May 3, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 69.
He was born April 17, 1953 in Fort Worth to Connie Finch and Charles Wendlandt Sr.
Chuck graduated Austin High School in 1971 then received his bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas Austin. He continued his education receiving his Law degree from Texas Tech. Chuck was accepted to the BAR in 1981.
Chuck was Assistant United States Attorney for 24 years in Corpus Christi. Attorney General Janet Reno presented Chuck the Director's Award for Superior Performance in 1998.
After retiring Chuck and his wife, Kathryn, moved to the Annandale Ranch in the Concan area. He enjoyed having friends and family come for visits, long walks and watching the beautiful hill country wildlife.
His parents and sister Kay Wendlandt have predeceased him.
Chuck is survived by his wife Kathryn McQuown Wendlandt of Concan. Sisters Susan Wendlandt and husband Randy Woods, Julie Wendlandt and husband Tom Elliott. Son David Wendlandt, daughter Shannon Wendlandt and husband Will Jensen. Granddaughters Marley and Leyna Jensen. Stepsons Paul Nejtek and Andrew Nejtek and wife Cindy Chuang. Nieces, Whitney, Morgan, Michelle, Cassie and nephew Jared.
Services for Chuck will be held at Concan Baptist Mission, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will follow at the church and internment at the Annandale Ranch Cemetery.
