Christina Perez

Christina Perez, 51, of La Pryor passed away on June 12, 2023, at PAM Specialty Hospital in San Antonio. 

She was born on July 16, 1971, in Crystal City, Texas to Guadalupe (Salazar) and Roberto Perez.

She married Pedro Perez, Jr. in Dallas, Texas on July 16, 2019.

She is survived by her husband of 3 years of Bulverde; father, Roberto Perez of La Pryor; daughter, Maricela Contreras of Bedford; sister, Ashley Perez and husband, Steve Rawlings of Bedford; two brothers, Ricardo Perez and wife, Elvira of Arlington, and Roberto Perez, Jr. and wife, Margot of La Pryor; niece, Desiree Perez and nephew, Robert Manuel Perez, III.

She is preceded in death by her mother; paternal grandparents, Manuel and Conchita Perez; maternal grandparents, Jacinto and Maria de Jesus Salazar and her beloved cat, Lucky.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 1 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor.  Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Paul Perez, Bobby Perez, Rodrigo Perez, Joe Ortegon, John Ortegon, Jr. and Ramiro Salazar.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mario Perez, Jr.
