Cleo Carson

Cleo W. Carson of Utopia passed away on June 19, 2010 at her residence at the age of 88. She was born on May 30, 1922 in Roger Mills Co., OK to Isaac and Maud Williams. She married Stonewall Jackson Carson in Uvalde on August 23, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Franklin and husband, George of Uvalde and Rebecca Douglas and husband, Calvin of Utopia son, Michael Carson of Duson, LA twin brother, Leo Williams of Utah brother, Isaac Williams of Oklahoma four grandchildren, Leslie Shoemaker and husband, Doug Cheryl Kay White and husband, Kendall Michael Douglas and Nevin Carson and three greatgrandchildren, Britten Shoemaker Annslie Shoemaker and Carson Kay White. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years one brother, Massey Williams and three sisters, Louise Hatfield Ruth Beavers and Caroline Davis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Utopia with burial to follow in the Waresville Cemetery. Mr. Paul Stephens will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kendall White Michael Douglas Britten Shoemaker Dan Eason Rob Rentch Jack Williams Howard Ponish John Hatfield and Tyler Hatfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Shoemaker Annslie Shoemaker Carson Kay White Nevin Carson Cheryl Kay White and Leslie Shoemaker. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 240, Utopia, TX 78884, or to the charity of ones choice.
