Clifton Dale Kolacek of Knippa passed away on January 28, 2018 at Audie Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 83. He was born on November 7, 1934 in Catarina, Texas to Frank J. and Opal (Ross) Kolacek.
He was in the Korean War and served his country for 8 years. He retired from FWA Drilling Company after 32 years in Midland and then moved to Knippa. He was active in the North Side Baptist Church in Uvalde and Church of Christ in Knippa.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce Chapman and husband, Bill of Midland and Doris L. Noland of Stanton; daughters, Shirley Kolacek of Kerrville, Vanda Pannitti of Bay Cliff, and Raychell Kolacek of Texas City; stepdaughter, Dori Mang Weaver; stepson, C.G. Mang; 25 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elba Mang Kolacek; brother, Richard Noland; and 5 children, Tommy Kolacek, Eddie Dale Kolacek, Betty Beth Kolacek, Billy Kolacek, and Latonya Kolacek.
A celebration of his life will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary on February 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
