Clyde Preddy

Clyde Eugene Preddy of Uvalde passed away on July 16, 2010 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 84. He was on July 13, 1926 in Smackover, AR to Lee and Esther McKlinney Preddy. He served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. According to his family, he was in the Sea of Japan on the day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and he remembers seeing the flash. He is survived by three sons, Michael Preddy of Westlake Village, CA Dr. John Preddy, Uvalde and Bobby Preddy of Henderson, TX a daughter, Eugenia Goen of College Station and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Cremation was under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel.
