Connie Ortiz

Connie M. Ortiz of Sabinal passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Kerrville at the age of 94. She was born on March 3, 1920 in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico to Gregorio and Felice Martinez Mojica. She married Ernesto Ortiz in San Antonio, Texas on December 22, 1945. She is survived by two daughters Martha Seidel and husband Kurt of Sabinal and Bertha Stafford and husband Ken of Kerrville sister, Jesusita Dominguez of San Antonio grandchild, Emily Kay Seidel stepgrandchildren, Glen Stafford, Kim Seidel Holden, Paul Seidel, Mary Jane Seidel Hurless and Lea Coy Seidel numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Ortiz son, Danny Ortiz parents two sisters, Julia Santos and Felice Santos and one brother, Elias Mojica. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Sabinal. Private burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Abel Mojica, John Robert Santos, Elias Mojica Jr., Glen Stafford, Paul Seidel, Casey Koehl and Grady Koehl. Honorary pallbearers are Haygood Gulley and Wesley Gulley.
