Constance "Connie" P. Ibarra of Uvalde passed away on September 11, 2016 at her residence at the age of 76. She was born on November 23, 1939 in Bakersfield, California to Gilberto and Ida (Feliz) Castillo. Connie retired from First State Bank of Uvalde after 38 years.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Ibarra and wife Lupe and Gilbert Ibarra and wife Delores all of Uvalde; sisters, Rose Calvillo of California, Leonor Menchaca of San Antonio and Ruby Calvillo of California; brothers, Fred Lopez and wife Betty of Bakersfield, California and Alejandro Castillo of Uvalde; grandchildren, Daniel A. Ibarra, Jr. and wife, Amanda, Joaquin A. Ibarra and fiancé, Faith Musquiz and Jonathon R. Perez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rosario Gonzales, Carolina Antu, Dolores Flores, and Amelia Garza; brothers, Alberto Castillo, Guadalupe Castillo and Lawrence Lopez.
A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Ibarra, Daniel A. Ibarra, Jr., Joaquin A. Ibarra, Jonathon Perez, Martin Ibarra and Rodolfo R. Flores, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alejandro Castillo and Homer Valle
