Consuelo Barron

Consuelo Menchaca Barron of Uvalde passed away on January 1, 2016 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. She was born on December 31, 1941 in Uvalde to Miguel Diaz Menchaca and Trinidad Macias Menchaca. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Agapito Barron, Sr. of Uvalde; two sons, Samuel Barron, Jr. of Uvalde and Paul Anthony Barron of Austin; two daughters, Esther Nohemi Morales and husband, Albert of Hondo and Griselda Yvonne Barron of Uvalde; three granddaughters, Stephanie Morales of Hondo, Sarah Morales of Austin, and Katherine Morales of Abilene; one great-granddaughter, Evangelina Rivera of Hondo; two brothers, Mario Menchaca and wife Ida of Carrizo Springs, and Arturo Menchaca and wife, Anna of Uvalde; two sisters, Rosario De Leon and Estella Martinez, of Uvalde. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Rebecca Menchaca, Mary Helen Davis, Juanita Arredondo, Mary Valdez, and Sulema Reyna; and three brothers, Miguel Menchaca, Jr., Johnny Menchaca, and Manuel Menchaca. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Primera Iglesia Bautista with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Julian Moreno will officiate.
