Consuelo Martinez

Consuelo P. Martinez passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Bryan at the age of 93. She was born on March 14, 1923 in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico. She married Elias A. Martinez in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico on September 10, 1947. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her two daughters, Estella Castillo and Yolanda Souquette and husband Felipe all of Bryan; son, Efrain Martinez and wife Cathy of Uvalde; brother, Ramiro Pesina of Acuna, Mexico; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son Mike Martinez.
A rosary will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 and Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Philip Martinez, Steven Martinez, Jason Castillo, Mario Rodriguez, Chris Souquette, Craig Souquette, Matt Martinez, and Ryan Simms. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Kelley, Isaiah Castillo, Mason Castillo, Logan Martinez, Tyler Martinez and Gavin Martinez.
