Criselda Villasana

Criselda Villasana, 56, of La Pryor, Texas passed away on July 26, 2024, at her residence.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 4 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor. 

Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. 

She was born on February 7, 1968, in Uvalde, Texas to Consuelo (Gonzales) and Tomas Ortiz. 

She married Pedro Castillo in La Pryor, Texas on April 12, 2000.

She is survived by her mother, Consuelo Martinez of La Pryor; husband , Pedro Castillo of 24 years of La Pryor; daughters, Graciela Villasana and husband, JR of Uvalde, Guadalupe Villasana and husband, Jesus of La Pryor, Amber Villasana and Sonia Villasana both of Uvalde; son, George Villasana and wife, Joanna of La Pryor; sister, Cristina Rodriguez of Uvalde; brother, Jose Alfredo Ortiz of Uvalde; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her father.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Rodriguez, Reynaldo Rodriguez, Ramiro Rodriguez, Consuelo Gutierrez, Felix Mirelez, and Rodolfo Rodriguez.
