Cruz Rios

Cruz Vasquez Rios of Batesville, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at her residence at the age of 90.

Cruz was born on May 2, 1932 in Batesville, Texas to Simon and Gregoria (Villarreal) Vasquez.

She married Jose S. Rios on May 26, 1998 in Batesville, Texas.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jose S. Rios of Batesville; daughter, Rosa R. Cazares of Batesville; five sons, Ramon Robles and wife Olivia of Batesville, Rodolfo Robles, Raul Robles, Ruben Robles of La Pryor and Roman Robles of Uvalde; brother, Margarito Vasquez and wife Delia of Batesville; sister, Carmen V. Vasquez of Delavan, Wisconsin; 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rebecca Robles, son, Rene M. Robles, two sisters, Modesta V. Puentes and Jesusa V. Servoss and grandson, Jose D. Cazares.

Visitation for Cruz will be on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Batesville. Interment to follow at Batesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fabian Cazares, Rolando Robles, Juan Jose Robles, Feliciano Rios Jr. Joshua Galindo and Manuel Vasquez.
