Curtis Cargil

Mr. Curtis W. Cargil of Uvalde passed away on April 17, 2008 at his residence at the age of 87. He was born on August 5, 1920 to Virgil Mac and Nelia Cargil in Denton, TX. He married Jean Douglas in Allen, OK on August 13, 1946. He is survived by his wife of 61 years; son, Steve Cargil and wife, Nancy of Uvalde; daughters, Donna Rimkus and Gail Toombs of San Antonio; and Nancy Barton and husband, Buzz of Uvalde; three sisters, Faye Douglas of Phoenix, AZ; Ruby Jo Mowery and husband, Bill of San Pablo, CA; and Billie Westfall of San Diego, CA; brother, Kenny Cargil and wife, Deloris of Eugene, OR; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is parents; one sister; and one brother, Virgil Cargil. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 20th, at 2:00 PM at the Getty St. Church of Christ with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Ray Melton will officiate.
