Dabney Montgomery

Dabney Jean Montgomery of Uvalde passed away on August 29, 2015 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 65. She was born in Uvalde on September 8, 1949 to David Habermacher and Margaret Griesenbeck Habermacher. She married Padgett W. Montgomery in Uvalde on January 1, 1980. She is survived by her husband of 35 years; two sons, Lef Bales of Arkansas and Tim Bales and wife, Chrissa of Rowlett, TX; stepson, Wayne Montgomery and wife, Heather of Floresville, TX; stepdaughter, Sherri Lane and husband, Leo of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Sean Johnston and husband, Richard of Sabinal; brother, David Habermacher and wife, Carolyn of Sabinal; brother-in-law, Don Ekvall of Madisonville, TX; grandchildren, Kenneth and Kevin Bales of Sabinal; and Britney, Ian, and Piper Bales of Rowlett, TX; and uncle, Tim Griesenbeck and wife, Rosie of Helotes, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ursula Ekvall; and niece, Ursula Habermacher. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery.
