Daniel Reyna, Jr.

Daniel Reyna, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on February 23, 2023, in Uvalde at the age of 74.

He was born on October 19, 1948, in Spofford, Texas to Julia (Bill) and Daniel Reyna, Sr.

He married Debbie Reyna on April 15, 1972, in Uvalde, Texas.

Mr. Reyna served in the US Navy, he received the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Yvonne Reyna and husband, William Newby of Copperas Cove, Danielle Reyna of Uvalde, and Dannitra Reyna of Uvalde; brother, Jose Ramiro Reyna of Uvalde; sister, Yolanda Lopez of Uvalde; six grandchildren, Pablo Contreras, Raven Mariscal, Alejandra Contreras, Dos Mariscal, Angel Reyna, and Alexzander Arredondo.; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debbie Reyna; brother, Crispin Reyna; and three sisters, Esperanza Hernandez; Maria Solia Reyna and Elsa Reyna.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Patsy Rodriguez, Brenda Brown, Bebe Lopez, Linda Lopez, Odie Lopez, Hector Lopez, and Dale Lopez.
