David Bowers Sr.

David Warren Bowers Sr. of Uvalde passed away on July 11, 2008 in Life Care Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 73. He was born on June 16, 1935 in Edinburg, Texas to Clarence and Ethel Bowers Sr. He married Martha Nadine Northcutt on March 30, 1961 in Weslaco, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Bowers of Uvalde, Texas; one daughter; Christine June Bowers of Uvalde, Texas; two sons; David W. Bowers Jr. of Goodyear, AZ; and Edward W. Bowers and wife, Michelle of Waddell, AZ; one sister; Geraldine Park and husband, Robert of Adelphi, MD; four grandchildren; Kaleb Warren Bowers, Zachary Nolan Bowers, Hanna Bowers and Kayleigh Bowers; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 4:00 PM in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev.Don Tumlinson will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Skelton, Charles Kone, Darrell Swearengin, James Pike, Ed Cassin, Bruce Hunter and Jimmy Coleman.
