David D. Dodge of Utopia, TX passed away at his residence on Dec. 2, 2015 at the age of 72 after a battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on Nov.18, 1943 in Chino, CA to parents John M. and Cecelia E. (Larson) Dodge. He married Nora Ruth Reavis in Utopia on Aug. 26, 1962. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; daughter Deborah Ann Dodge of Utopia; son, Benjamin Ray Dodge and wife Mary Catherine (Dowling] of Utopia,TX; sisters; Juanita Hyman & husband Delmer of Baytown, TX; Naomi Grove & husband Bill of Ft. Worth TX; Faith Bolton of Boynton Beach, FL; Mary Faulkner & husband Joe of Irving, TX; brothers; John Daniel Dodge & wife Bonnie of Utopia, TX; Paul Dodge & wife Barbara of Port Orange, FL; Sam Dodge of Melbourne, FL; Amos Dodge & wife Sue of Vienna, VA; Tim Dodge of Grapevine, TX; grandchildren Margaret Dowling of Utopia, TX; Patricia Claire Dodge of Utopia, TX. numerous nieces and nephews' He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Mark Dodge of Utopia, TX; brother, Jacob B. Dodge of Coeur d'Alene, ID; brother-in-law Jack Bolton; sister-in-law Von Dodge of MN; and 1 nephew. There were many special children who lived with him at various times. A special thank you to all of the medical people who cared for David throughout his illness and to Paul Stephens. A memorial service was held at Living Waters Church in Utopia, TX on Dec. 5, 2015 at 12PM.
