David Janes

Mr. David Parkin Janes of San Antonio passed away of a sudden illness on May 26, 2007 in Southwest Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Tx. at the age of 42.

He was born September 9, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Tx. to Phyllis Brandon C. Janes, Jr.

He was a graduate of Uvalde High School and earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas in San Antonio. He was a long-time employee of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in San Antonio.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Janes of Uvalde; sisters, Janet Johnson husband, John of Corpus Christi; Virginia Millar husband, Frank of Eden, Tx.; brothers, Brandon Janes, III wife, June of Austin; Peter Janes wife, Elizabeth of San Antonio; nieces, Maggie Janes; Michael Ann Janes; Amy Millar Jennifer Johnson; nephews, Brandon Janes IV; Abe Millar; John Moriarty John Johnson II. He was preceded in death by his father, Brandon C. Janes, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Brandon C. Janes, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Maude Lee Ingram; maternal grandmother, Reva Parkin Burns; maternal grandfather, Phil Collins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Uvalde at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Scott will officiate.

The family suggests memorials to El Progresso Memorial Library, 301 W. Main St.; Uvalde, Tx. 78801.
