David Mancha, 40 of Mt. Zion, IL, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas passed away at 5:12a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in St. Marys Hospital, Decatur, IL. A vigil prayer service was held at Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion.

David was born February 28, 1969 in Uvalde, Texas, the son of Delia and David Mancha. He attended Benson Elementary in Uvalde, his family then moved to Austin where David graduated from Anderson High School. He attended the University of Texas; then transferred to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville in 1994 where he earned his Bachelors degree. He worked several years as a business analyst in Fort Worth, Texas and had recently moved to Decatur, IL to work for Archer Daniels Midland.

Surviving are his wife, Stacey Harris- Mancha and son Oliver Mancha, Mt. Zion, parents Delia and David Mancha of Austin; sister Sandra Vega and husband, John of Austin; Mother and Father-in-law Harold Harris of Mt. Zion, IL, and Pam Harris, of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law; Deanna Little and husband, John and family, brother-in-law David Harris and wife, Cyndi of Dubai, UEA.

Also surviving are his uncles; Jim Mancha, Raul Samarripa, Robert Samarripa, and Mike Samarripa, and aunts; Rebecca Chacon and Olga Vela, numerous cousins and a host f friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Feliz and Jose Samarripa and paternal grandparents; Bonnie and Jimmie Mancha; uncles; Jose Samarripa Jr. and Ismael Samarripa.

David loved his family deeply and extended that love to his many friends. The family suggests contributions may be made to the Oliver Mancha Educational Fund co Hickory Point Bank Trust.
