David Morones

David Morones of Hondo passed away on June 7, 2018 at Texsan Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 62. He was born on January 29, 1956 in Ft. Wayne Indiana to Maximillano and Luisa (Torres) Morones.

He married Cynthia Martinez on February 11, 2005 in San Antonio.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years of Hondo; daughters, Jennifer Morones of Iowa and Krystal Morones and husband, James Trent of Virginia; sons, Rene Martinez and wife, Rosa of Dallas and David Morones, Jr. and wife, Emily of Virginia; sisters, Teresa Morones, Gina Morones, Rita Morones, Anita Verdinas, Lucia Morones, and Julianna Morones all of Dallas; brothers, Alfred Morones, Julian Morones, Willie Morones, all of Indiana and Marcos Morones of Dallas; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dolores Morones, Denise Morones, Cypriana Morones; brothers, Daniel Bart Morones, and Maximillano Morones, Jr.

A rosary will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be David Morones, Jr., Rene Martinez, John Martinez, Adam Martinez, Joe Garcia and John Luke Ratliff.

Honorary pallbearers are Wedo Alvarez and Joey Martinez.
