David Newman

David William Newman of Austin, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on February 20, 2009 in Austin at the age of 84. He was born on July 12, 1924 in Brackettville, TX to Charles and Annie Maude Hammond Newman. He is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Bagwell of Huntsville; three sisters, Georgia Parker of Austin; Myrtle Crossland of Lindsay, OK; and Pauline Surginer of Sinton, TX; brother, Charlie Newman of Knippa; three granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held on Monday, February 23, 2009, at 1:00 PM in Hillcrest Cemetery.
