Delia Martinez

Delia Martinez of Uvalde passed away on August 1, 2020 at her residence at the age of 68.  She was born on March 24, 1952 in Harlingen, Texas to Alfredo Bejaran and Andrea Ledesma.

She married Jesus J. Martinez on April 29, 1974 in Uvalde, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years of Uvalde; son, Jesse Martinez, Jr. of San Antonio; granddaughter, Madison Nicole Martinez of San Antonio sisters, Maria Garcia and Irene Bejaran both of Uvalde; brother, Danny Bejaran of San Antonio; brother in law, Ricardo Martinez of Uvalde; 9 nieces and nephews; and 5 great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alfredo Bejaran, Jr., Nicolas Garcia and Cresencio Bejaran; Celestino Bejaran, and sister, Sulema Bejaran Martinez.

Visitation will begin on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John J. Cano, Jesse J. Martinez, Jr., David Walker, Edwin Nava, Albert Ybarra, and Anthony Garcia.
