Delia Silva

Delia Gonzales Silva of Uvalde, passed away on August 31, 2018 at the age of 72. She was born on February 20, 1946 in Uvalde, Texas to Maximiliano and Manuela (Minor) Gonzales. She married Tommy Silva in Uvalde on July 8, 1963. Delia is survived by two daughters, Theresa S. Rodriguez and husband, Edward of San Antonio and Pauline Garcia and husband Marco of Uvalde; two sons, Tommy Silva III and wife Maria of Seguin and George Silva and wife Laura of Uvalde; two brothers, Maximiliano Gonzales and wife Rosalinda of Uvalde and Arnulfo Gonzales and wife Esperanza of Knippa. 19 grandchildren: Andrea M. Garcia, Ramon S. Rios Jr, Roseanna Silva, Kristine S. Rodriguez, Kathleen Rodriguez, Crystale S. Rodriguez, Edward S. Rodriguez, Jr., George Silva, Steven Silva, Dillon Silva, Samantha Silva, Jasmine Silva, Tommy R. Silva, IV., Christopher Silva, Maximiliano Silva, Georgina Silva, Daniel Silva, Kimberly Silva and 31 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-laws; Minerva Gonzales of Uvalde and Teresa Rocha and husband Francisco of Yuma, Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sister, Eva S. Monarrez; son, John P. Silva and brothers, Joe Valente Gonzales and Cristobal Gonzales.
Funeral services will held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at Church of Christ with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Samantha Silva, John Silva Jr., Matthew Rios, Edward Rodriguez Jr., Crystale Rodriguez, Kimberly Silva, George Silva Jr., Steven Silva, Dillon Silva, Christopher Silva, Johnny Minor and Francisco Rocha Jr.
