Deloyce Derusha

DeLoyce DeRusha, 71, of Uvalde died on May 22, 2013, at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio.

She was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Ralls to Viva Dale Meek and J.T. Meek.

She married Bobby DeRusha and moved to Uvalde in 1964, to farm and ranch.

The family said DeRusha taught Sunday School for many years and was always ready to lend a helping hand with any church function.

They said she was tenderhearted, loved animals and touched the lives of many.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby DeRusha of Uvalde one daughter, Tamme Huggins and husband, Terry, of Odessa two sons, Bobby Dale DeRusha and Cody DeRusha and wife, Kimberly, all of Uvalde five grandchildren, West Huggins and wife, Keri, Ashley Henry and husband, Nathan, Dustin DeRusha, Kane DeRusha and Abigail DeRusha and three greatgrandchildren, Walker Huggins, Trevor Huggins and Truitt Henry.

A memorial service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Southwest Texas Cowboy Church in Uvalde.
