Demencio Flores

Demencio Lopez Flores Sr. of Uvalde passed away on June 20, 2011 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. He was born on October 19, 1919 to Adolfo and Juanita Lopez Flores in Uvalde, Texas. He married Elisa Sotomayor on January 6, 1939 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 72 years daughters, Ana Velia Gonzales of San Antonio, Estella Flores and husband Santos and Berta Estes both of Uvalde sons, Demencio Flores Jr. and wife Eva of San Antonio Alfredo Flores and wife Delia Johnny Flores and wife Dora Raul Flores and wife Connie all of Uvalde 20 grandchildren 36 great grandchildren, 12 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents 3 sisters and 6 brothers. A rosary will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2011 and Thursday June 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Friday June 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Flores, Santos Flores IV, Domingo Portillo, Joe Flores, Frankie Rodriguez, Albert Aviles and Johnny Flores Jr.
