Diamantina Babbitt

Diamantina M. Tina Babbitt of Uvalde passed away on June 11, 2010 in Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 64. She was born on March 27, 1946 in Sabinal, Texas to Trinidad and Luisa Martinez. She is survived by her mother, Luisa Martinez of Uvalde, Texas two daughters Lisa Garza of San Antonio, Texas Annette Chapa of Uvalde, Texas two sons Adam Chapa and wife, Herlinda of Dallas, Texas Jose Chapa and wife, Jessica of Uvalde, Texas two sisters Gloria Guerra and Yvonne Allen and husband, David all of Uvalde, Texas six brothers Trino Martinez of LA Ramiro Martinez of Uvalde, Texas Julio Martinez of Uvalde, Texas Johnny Martinez of Illinois Albert Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Benito Martinez of Uvalde, Texas ten grandchildren six great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Trinidad Martinez and husband, Adam Chapa Sr. A rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
