Diane Flores

Diane Martinez Flores of Uvalde passed away on August 14, 2018 in San Antonio at age of 56. She was born on August 12, 1962 in East Chicago, Indiana s to Antonio Martinez and Erlinda Cano Cardona. She married Ricardo V. Flores, Jr. in Uvalde on December 20, 1986.
Diane was also an employee of Uvalde CISD for over 10 years. She enjoyed music, board games, movies, her cat Pancho and loved family gatherings. Diane was a nurturing person and spent many years working a various daycares and caring for the elderly.
She is survived by her mother of Uvalde; sisters, Jeanette Martinez of Uvalde, Beverly Garcia and husband, Javier of San Antonio and Roxanne Rivera and husband, Adam of Uvalde; special friends, Nancy Balzen and husband, Barry of Knippa; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father; husband, Richard V. Flores; and twin brother, Antonio Martinez, Jr.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Rivera, Frank Gaitan, Lalo Zamora, Raymond Cano, III, Moses Alvarez and Roy Falcon.
