Dominga Lara Quintanilla of Uvalde passed away on April 26, 2010 in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 77 after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born on February 5, 1933 in DHanis, Texas to Domingo and Maria Lara. She is survived by two daughters Hope Quintanilla and Elvira Q. Suarez and husband, Jose all Uvalde, Texas two sons David Quintanilla of Kuwait Mario Quintanilla Jr., and wife Agnes of Uvalde, Texas two sisters Catalina Estrada of Usian, California Lupe Alvarado of Vacaville, California five brothers Tomas Lara Domingo Lara Jr. and Roberto Lara all of Vacaville, California Alfredo Lara and Felix Lara both of Uvalde, Texas nine grandchildren Mario Quintanilla III, Amy Perales, David Quintanilla Jr., April Quintanilla, Joey Suarez, Tina Ann Quintanilla, Christopher Quintanilla, Sandy Suarez and Kathy Suarez nine great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Virginia Quintanilla and Jacinto Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents brothers Anastacio Lara, Jose Lara and Santiago Lara and a sister. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hondo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tomas Lara, Domingo Lara, Alfredo Lara, Felix Lara, Roberto Lara, David J. Quintanilla and Mario L. Quintanilla.
