Domingo Rivera

Domingo M. Rivera of La Pryor passed away at Uvalde Memorial Hospital on August 27, 2013 at the age of 75. He was born on November 14, 1937 in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco and Josefa Medrano Rivera. He married Guadalupe Victorino on October 24, 1971 in Rio Bravo, Coahuila, Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 41 years of La Pryor daughters, Maria Del Carmen Silva and husband Tommy of Seguin and Veronica Garza and husband Refugio of Uvalde sons, Jorge Rivera and wife Jennifer of Hondo and Juan Domingo Rivera and wife Rosario of Dallas brother, Ramiro Rivera of Allende, Mexico sisters, Lidia Rivera of San Antonio, Victoria Delgadillo of Colorado, Irene Rivera of Monterrey, Mexico and Maricela Rivera of San Antonio 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents brothers, Vicente Rivera, and Francisco Rivera sisters, Maria Luisa Payne, Eva Rivera and Dina Rivera. A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in La Pryor. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jorge Rivera, Juan Rivera, Adrian Garza, Tommy Silva III, Tommy Silva IV, and Refugio Garza.
