Donald Worley

Donald Arthur Worley of Uvalde passed away on September 8, 2014 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. He was born on July 12, 1933 in Del Rio, TX to Seldon Arthur Worley and Thelma Elizabeth Smith Worley. He married Dee Watson in Mathis, TX on June 6, 1970. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dee Worley of Uvalde three daughters, Rebecca Moore and husband, Lonnie of Deer Park, WA Katy Fulcher and husband, Clint of Sabinal and Stephanie Worley of Houston son, Troy Scoggins of San Antonio sister, Doris Hunt of Boerne and eight grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Adelaide, and Olivia Moore and Delaney, Ryleigh, Aubrey, and Hennley Fulcher. He was preceded in death by his parents. Don was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Uvalde, and a member and officer of the local Optimist Club. After working for CPL for 44 years, Don retired in 1994 and devoted his time to breeding and raising meat goats. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with burial at 3:00 PM at the WorleyFulcher Ranch near Sabinal. Rev. Tim Fahrenthold will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Moore, Clint Fulcher, Brandon Moore, Alan Kruckemeyer, Rick Machen, and John Foley. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Hunt, Brown White, Troy Scoggins, Irvin Watson, Jared Watson, and members of the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class. Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Education Building Fund, 301 N. High St., Uvalde, TX 78801 El Progreso Memorial Library, 301 W. Main St., Uvalde, TX 78801 Herby Ham Activity Center, 248 FM 3447, Uvalde, TX 78801 or the youth ranch of your choice.
