Doris Patterson Langford of Uvalde passed away on June 2, 2009 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 89. She was born on March 2, 1920 in Uvalde to W.B. and Irene Wilson Patterson, Jr. She married H. Woodrow Langford in Mexico on August 20, 1936. They ranched together for 64 years until his death in 2000. Mrs. Langford was a longtime member of the Concan Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Jackson and husband, Jim of Rio Frio; and Billie Jean Rutledge of Hillsboro, NM; one son, Ray Langford and wife, Lynda of Reagan Wells; two sisters-in-law, Otela Patterson of Mountain Home, TX; and Clar Virginia Langford of Uvalde; six grandchildren, Randy Rutledge; Ricky Rutledge; Matt Langford and wife, Andrea; J Jackson and wife, Miranda; Wayne Jackson and wife, Courtney; and Jody Rae Jackson; eight great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Jack Patterson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Paul Goodnight and Mr. Ray Melton will officiate. Pallbearers will be J Jackson; Wayne Jackson; Jody Jackson; Matt Langford; Charlie Ham; and Jimmy Harrell.
